Hammam Havlu: Traditional Turkish Towels

by - 12:30

Don't you just love the crazy amount of alliteration in this post's title? No? Well hopefully you'll still love what I'm talking about in today's post!

Last Saturday I attended the Blogger Picnic In The Park (#BloggerPitP) which took place in Hyde Park and was such a lovely event! It was organised by Sarah, Gwennan, Hannah, Mel, Effi and Nina and was such a nice way to meet new people while enjoying some delicious food and beautiful surroundings. Our picnic area was decorated beautifully with paper lantern decorations, bunting and these delicate woven towels that were kindly donated to our event by Hammam Havlu,
They aren't a brand that I'd heard of before, but the timeless design and quality of their towels didn't go unnoticed, and at the end of the event  there was a raffle to see who would win some of the decorations, including four of the ten donated towels. I was lucky enough to get to take home one of the towels and out of the selection we were given (Jade ZiyaPink Yildiz or Pink Esra) I chose the beautiful, fringed, teal-coloured towel: Jade Ziya.

All of Hammam Havlu's towels use 100% Turkish cotton and are woven by a small family run business in Denizli, Turkey. They are the UK's first dedicated ethical hammam towel brand and their products really reflect the care and respect that is gone into their creation.
Each Hammam Havlu towel absorbs as much water as a thick bath towel and dries very quickly. The benefit of these towels over a traditional bath or beach towel is that they are thin and lightweight so pack up into a much smaller space!

We used the Hammam Havlu towels as picnic blankets for the Blogger Picnic In The Park and they worked perfectly, both functionally and in creating a beautiful aesthetic! As you can see, they just blend seamlessly with all aspects of summer, and I'll definitely be looking to take this with me when I head to Lake Como next week.

Prices for Hammam Havlu Towels start at £25 (a bargain considering the quality and ethics behind their creation!) and are available to order online at Hammam Havlu. If you'd like to see more pictures of them in action, check out their Instagram page which is equally beautiful!
Do these beautiful towels look like something you'd like to have for you own picnic/holiday adventure? Which colour would you go for?
Stay inspired!

    1. Thanks Gwennan! They made for such a nice setting for all our picnic items and it's definitely replaced the usual beach towel I would normally take with me on holiday xo
